What's traditional?
Jute has long been used for garden storage as it is an ideal natural and breathable material. The home of the jute industry in Britain is just down the road from Twice in Dundee where jute fibre was first spun mechanically in 1833. The Jute Barons of Dundee dominated the trade during the early 1800s but the focus moved to India by the middle of the century. The industry is now centred in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
